Frequently asked questions
TapPrint cannot find my printer
Confirm that your phone and printer are connected to the same Wi‑Fi network. Turn off mobile VPNs temporarily, allow Local network or Nearby devices access, wake the printer, and try discovery again. Some guest Wi‑Fi networks block devices from seeing one another.
My printer is found, but the job does not start
Check the printer for paper, ink, an error light or a queued job. Restart the printer and phone, then reconnect. Printer support varies by model and available platform print services.
I cannot select a photo or document
Open device Settings → Apps → TapPrint → Permissions and allow the relevant Photos or Files access. Ensure the file has downloaded to the device and is not only a cloud placeholder.
The scanner or camera does not open
Allow Camera access in device settings, close TapPrint and open it again. Make sure no other app is currently using the camera.
How do I print a web page?
Open the web-link printing tool, enter the full page address, allow the page to load and continue to preview. Some protected or dynamically loaded sites may limit printable content.
Where can I find previous jobs?
Open the History tab in TapPrint. History is stored on your device. Clearing app data or uninstalling the App may remove it.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Open the app store used to purchase TapPrint, go to your account’s Subscriptions section, select TapPrint and follow the available options. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
The app closes or stops responding
Update TapPrint, restart your device and repeat the action. If it continues, email support with the exact steps, file type and printer model. Do not attach private source documents.
Before emailing
Never email passwords, payment-card data, unredacted identity documents or confidential files. A description and a screenshot with private information hidden are usually enough.
